READING FOR RECONCILIATION

WANTED! - MEMBERS TO JOIN

  • Are you already an avid reader?

  • Would you like to learn more about the background of Indigenous issues in Australia today?

  • Would you be interested to read one book with an Indigenous focus per month?

  • Would you then come together with a group to discuss the book and to determine if there any follow up activities  in which  we could engage?

Our aim would be to be MORE than “just another book club”, by increasing our own knowledge, understanding and empathy regarding indigenous issues in an informal, friendly setting.

If you are interested or have any questions, please call HELEN CARRICK on 3378-3973, or email: helen.carrick@uq.net.au

We will be based in the Western Suburbs at this stage, but hope that these groups  may spread into other areas in future.

The books will be selected from a list of recommendations from Reconciliation Queensland.
